The January Makeup Edit

Despite it being the dead of Winter I am still channelling Summer with my glowy base picks and plenty of highlighter. Here's whats been gracing my face this month.

The Bourjois City Radiance foundation has always been a firm favourite for me, it delivers the perfect healthy glow without being too light and slippery on the skin. On good days this is all I need to completely cover up any imperfections, but if I have any blemishes that could do with a bit extra coverage, or for under my eyes the Glossier Stretch Concealer is seriously amazing. The main way I can describe this is that it just melts into your skin, super easy to blend and looks as if you're wearing next to nothing on your skin, which I love.

I have been unintentionally joining the strobing party with my use of two different highlighters. Starting with Glossier Haloscope in Moonstone on the tops of my cheekbones and down my nose. Then to 'set' my highlighter I go in with Bare Minerals Invisible Glow which you can liken to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders in the sense that it is not straight up glitter but more of an ethereal glow. After this, my skin is somewhat resembling a glazed doughnut (which I am totally here for) and it's time to add a bit of colour to my cheeks in the form of Nars Deep Throat, the perfect pink flush to the cheeks with a hint of shimmer to keep the glow train rolling. You may notice the absence of bronzer, but I've been embracing my pale skin and letting it show through in all of its glory - it is Winter afterall.

Finishing off I've been mixing up some of the colours from the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette, namely either Honey Pot, or combining Push Up and Silk Teddy depending if I'm feeling gold or rose gold. After putting my brows on and a quick coat of mascara I am all good to go.
